Ben and Nathan After

Twin brothers Nathan and Benjamin came into the world at 32 weeks. Both boys were treated for Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and Benjamin suffered from a condition known as Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM). As a neonatal nurse, Ben and Nathan’s mother, Emily, knew that they were at the best place for high risk infants in the Twin Cities, and that with MN Neonatal Physicians, her sons were in good hands. “The doctors here are so hardworking and caring, even in the most difficult of moments. Ben’s doctor, Dr. Mrozek, had the extremely difficult job of taking care of him in those first few hours when he was so incredibly sick, and we were unsure that he would survive. Dr. Perdue went above and beyond to connect my sons with some of the best specialists throughout this process.”

"Faith, determination and love was what allowed my husband, Brent, and me to persevere during such challenging medical circumstances," Emily freely admits. “Today, my favorite thing is listening to my sons tell their story about how they had to work together to survive, it’s a beautiful thing.”
