Your Time In the NICU

What to Expect

What to Expect at Each Stage

We’d like to make your experience within the NICU as easy as possible by providing everything you need to know about your baby’s care, including who will be taking care of your baby, how to get information about your baby’s condition at any time, and the various services that are available to you while your baby is in the NICU.

24-7

Around the Clock Monitored Care

One of our skilled neonatologists – pediatric doctors with extra training and expertise in caring for ill newborns – will see your baby every day. Several neonatologists may care for your baby during his or her stay in the NICU. This approach allows the experience and knowledge of different physicians to come together for the benefit of your baby’s care.

Regular Patient Updates

Regular Patient Updates

Our care philosophy is rooted in a Family-Centered Care model that focuses on the role of the family. As partners in your child’s recovery, your baby’s daily NICU treatment plan will be discussed with you, including what is needed to advance your baby towards discharge. If at any time, you have a concern and would like to discuss it with a doctor, your baby’s nurse will help you get in touch with a neonatologist as soon as possible.
